Buwun Mas and Sekotong, West Lombok

Sekotong is a district of West Lombok Regency on the island's south-west peninsula. It is known for white-sand beaches, calm bays and the small southern Gili islands, including Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak and Gili Kedis, which are reached by boat from its shore. Buwun Mas is one of Sekotong's villages, taking in beaches such as Pengantap on the southern coast.
Land in Buwun Mas
The area has been slow to develop because of road access and land titling. Much of the coastal land has been held by families for generations, often without modern certificates. Kinnara Capital has spent several years assembling land in Buwun Mas parcel by parcel. It works through the courts and the BPN land office to make sure every title is clean before building.
Much of Sekotong's appeal is its quiet: few resorts, clear water, and views across the strait to Bali on a clear day. It is the site of Saraya Beach Resort & Residences.
Getting there
Sekotong is about 1.5 to 2 hours by road from Lombok International Airport, and about 45 minutes from Lembar ferry port.
